2020-2021 Registration and Information

This page provides registration information for new and returning players for the 2020/21 PHA Season and applies to both House League & Rep. Be sure to read all information thoroughly as there are changes that impact both new and returning players.

Thank you to all PHA members for your continued patience while the PHA developed a Return to Hockey program that follows all necessary health and safety guidelines, as well as Hockey Canada and OMHA regulations. The health and safety of all PHA participants remains our highest priority and while unprecedented circumstances do not allow us to offer the traditional hockey programming our members are used to, the PHA is ready to offer a hockey program that will still focus on fun, fitness and skill development; this Return to Play program was created in accordance with the safety protocols of our governing bodies – Hockey Canada, OHF, OMHA, the City of Pickering and Durham Public Health.

We are going to require more coaches to make this program a success. If you would like to coach this season please email Samantha at [email protected]

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

All PHA programming is subject to change. We are working within many limitations and strict guidelines. All programming is dependent on registration numbers and coach/trainer availability.

When registering your player(s) for the 2020-2021 PHA hockey season you will have three options to choose from.

  • TIER 1 – if you/your player played competitive stream hockey with the Pickering Panthers during the 2019-2020 season, you will choose TIER 1 during your current player registration. If you/your player played competitive stream hockey with another association during the 2019-2020 season but you are returning to Pickering as your home association, you will choose TIER 1 during your current player registration.
  • TIER 2 – if your player played in the House League division or on a Select team during the 2019-2020 season OR you are a new PHA registrant, you will choose TIER 2 during your current player registration.
  • Hockey School - must be 4 years of age or older (2012-2016)

NOTE: If you register to the incorrect division (based on where you played last year, and the information provided above) you will be assigned to the proper division and fees will be adjusted.

All programming will be based on confirmed registration numbers; if there are not enough registrants in a single age group, the PHA may adjust levels to create a new mixed age group cohort/bubble.

The PHA reserves the right to move players from one Tier to another Tier in order to form teams.
